SUSAN OAKLEY
Susan has earned the respect of her clients across the Piedmont through her tireless advocacy for their best interests in all aspects of construction management and service contract negotiations. A focused problem-solver, Susan believes the only way a property manager can produce a client’s desired outcomes is by making their goals hers too. To do that, she builds close relationships with her clients through honesty and reliability. Contract negotiations are complex and involve numerous stakeholders. Susan seeks out and values input from everyone involved in her deals and she makes it a priority to earn buy-in from all involved. However, she attributes her success to always being prepared to ask the tough questions and never settling for anything but straight answers. For Susan, delivering high quality service isn’t just her job, it’s the right thing to do. Susan has extensive experience with Class A service contracts, construction management, including upfits and renovations, and building operations management. Her career highlights include:
- Negotiated service contracts for a 600,000 +/- building located in downtown Winston-Salem, which resulted in approximately $200,000 savings to the building operations.
- Performed construction management for a 23,000 sq. ft. +/- medical tenant new occupancy in High Point with tenant deadlines met.
- Active role and supervision in the delivery of an additional 75,000 sq. ft. of government occupied leased premises in downtown Winston-Salem. Tackled all governmental process challenges swiftly, allowing for the completion of the lease administration and construction as outlined in the proforma to the building owner.
- Implemented building operations for improved tenant relations and building service to a High Point building, which had previously been operated with below acceptable management practices. Knowledge of service expectations from Class A tenants/businesses allowed for an improved presence of management to the site.
